To all animal advocates,
The Yongin Animal Protection Association is reaching out for further support in aiding abandoned and rescued dogs at our shelter. As our shelter population grows and our finances are stretched thin due to our recent relocation, we are facing increasing challenges in providing basic care our dogs need to stay healthy and happy.
One crucial aspect of our efforts to ensure the wellbeing of our dogs is monthly preventatives. These preventatives are a vital role in keeping our dogs free from a variety of parasites, including heartworms, fleas, and ticks. Administering these monthly preventatives allows us to take proactive steps in protecting and safeguarding the health of our amazingly loving dogs and reduce the risk of them having to undergo a much more intensive, lengthy, and pricey treatment to combat heartworms.
However, with just about 500 dogs currently under our care, the cost of providing monthly preventatives adds up quite quickly. At $35 per month per dog, which amounts to $17,500 per month, funding for basic prevention has become increasingly challenging, especially as we strive to meet the needs of our growing shelter population amidst financial constraints.
We believe health for our dogs is of utmost importance as our dogs have already gone through so much in their lives prior to staying with us at our shelter. With contributions from compassionate supporters like you, it will directly enable us to continue providing monthly preventatives to each and every dog in our care, ensuring they remain healthy, happy, and parasite free, so we can all focus on finding their forever families.
