Dog walk
Thank you for wanting to volunteer for our Dog Walking Events!
Held ever Saturdays at our shelter in South Korea, volunteers and our dogs get an opportunity to finally come out of their kennels to socialize, receive love, and go on a nice walk out in nature to relieve stress. Volunteers also help promote each individual dog get the exposure they need to get adopted.
What Volunteers Get to Do:
Be our dogs' temporary human for the day~
How are our dogs so friendly and well-mannered? Through volunteers like you, of course! Our volunteers play a crucial part in helping our dogs develop social skills necessary to help them integrate into their future forever homes. Maximum cuddles and love is encouraged!
Be our dogs' social media manager for the day~
Volunteers help the dogs they meet by helping them get exposure on social media in hopes to find their forever homes. Please take many cute photos and videos of all the dogs you get to meet during the Event. Share all the cute dogs you met with your friends, family, community and us.
What to Know:
Among all the current 500 dogs we have at the shelter, only a minor population of them are small dogs (<10kg). Most of our dogs weigh between 15kg and 20g and volunteers must be able to comfortably handle them.
All volunteers must be over the age of 16. We cannot accept volunteers younger due to safety and liability issues for both our dogs and our volunteers. Ages 16-18 years must be accompanied by chaperones (1:1 ratio) and must be approved by YAPA before ability to volunteer.
To keep our environment clean, always pick up after the dogs and bring back trash to appropriate disposal areas at our shelter.
If accidents occur, always contact staff members.
We are gearing up for flight
We are actively seeking homes and foster homes in Korea and abroad.
