Choco
Meet Choco of the “Lotte Choco Pie” puppies! Named after the famous Korean snack food, Lotte, Choco, and Pie are 3 mixed breed brothers who arrived at the shelter in April 2023 as scared and weak little 2 month old puppies without a mother in sight. They have since recovered to full health and are growing into the most handsome, charming pupperinos!
Thanks to our Saturday puppy socialization volunteers, the Lotte Choco Pie brothers have all had lots of experience and happy times with both humans and other doggies since they’ve arrived! They are more than ready to start their lives with loving families!
Out of his brothers Choco is definitely the most self aware of his cuteness, as he is constantly rolling over for belly rubs from volunteers! It doesn’t matter if he’s on a mountain slope or in a mud puddle - any time is a good time to roll over on his back for some lovin’! When he first arrived, he was particularly nervous with humans and would pull away if we tried to bring him out to play - but he is a smart boy and he very quickly learned that people are safe and fun, and he did a full 180 in his confidence. Now he can’t get enough of being with people and begs to come out! Choco is playful and likes to dig, but if he is told “no” he quickly stops and listens well to his human’s direction!
Here's what one of our volunteers says about Choco:
"Choco is another lovely cuddler that I walked this past weekend. This boy is a good walker and likes to run around, but he would take any chance to get down and show you his belly. Stopping on a walk? Hanging out in the playpen? It doesn’t matter, it’s always belly massage time. Others said that Choco used to be a very timid puppy, but it no longer shows because the volunteers have spent so much time playing with him and getting him used to humans. Now he is a big puppy who is smart and understands how best to earn his treats. Choco is under one year old, and is ready to go to his permanent home."
We are looking for a loving forever home that will give Choco all of the belly rubs his little heart desires for the rest of his life! If you’d like to add this sweetheart to your family, send us a message and we can get you started with the adoption process!

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
