Duke is a male Jindo who was admitted to the shelter in January 2021. Despite living at the shelter, Duke is an absolute gentleman! He shares his kennel with a much smaller dog named Benita, and Duke gets along very well with her. He is kind to everyone and everything, and he's a total softy who loves to be petted and adores baby voices. Duke is a strong boy and tends to pull on the leash, but it's not a major issue because he absolutely loves treats and is highly motivated by food, making training a breeze!

Here's what one of our volunteers had to say about Duke:

"Meet the handsome big boy, Duke from Kennel H32. Duke is a big and muscular dog who pulled on the leash during the first couple of minutes of the walk. He's strong and he knows it haha. Even though he is strong, he has a super easy-going personality. Throughout the walk, he wanted to greet everyone and seemed like a well-socialized dog.

My favorite thing about Duke is that he loves being petted. He didn't shy away from being touched and seemed to be very sure and confident about his surroundings. He was also super calm, so it was easy to fall in love with his gentle and easy-going personality.

It could have been the heat, but Duke seemed to tire quickly and didn't need excessive exercise. Before we even reached the bottom of the hill, Duke was already resting in the shade, enjoying all the pats and treats we were giving him. He's such a great dog to be around. I really hope he finds a nice home with a big yard and an owner who will give him lots of love."

Duke is now looking for his forever home, and we're confident that he will find the perfect family out there! If you're interested in adopting Duke, please contact us via email or submit an adoption application form. We'll be more than happy to assist you in starting the adoption process and finding Duke his loving forever home!

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
