LONG STAY - IN THE SHELTER SINCE 2019
Everyone, meet Frodo!
Frodo is a friendly big boy jindo mix who is a long-term resident at the shelter and has been here since October 2019 after he was found emaciated on the streets. Despite being around 8 years old now, he still has the joy of a puppy and absolutely deserves the loving forever home he has been waiting so patiently for. Since he first arrived, Frodo has become very happy and healthy! He is an absolute cuddle bug! Frodo is always wearing a cheerful smile, and it utterly melts all of our hearts.
This is what our volunteers had to say about Frodo:
“Frodo is no doubt one of the awesome dogs at the shelter - validated by the Korean aunties who walked by him, who can't help but to comment on how kind and happy he looks. Frodo, despite having been at the shelter for a long time, is a happy and friendly pal. He is just super playful, but at the same time not too high energy as he is at an older age. Cuddling is his second-most favourite activity, with his most favourite being cuddling, leaning his whole body on his hooman while chewing on snacks. Frodo is awesome, and he would definitely fit in with most families.
“Frodo walked really nicely on the leash and didn’t really pull. He is full of love and gave anyone who would let him tons of licks and hugs - I bet he would love to be a big lapdog! He’s also so gentle and didn’t react at all when other dogs barked or growled at him. The sweetest guy!!"
“Frodo has to be one of the happiest dogs in the world, no matter what's going on he has a huge smile on his face! He was very calm, and loved his butt being scratched. He's a large dog who doesn't really know how large he is, he'll bump into you and turn around and lick you in the face to say hello. This good boy would make anyone happy!”
Frodo is sweet, smart, and gets along well with his doggy kennelmates. If you would like to finally show Frodo the gift of a life outside of a shelter kennel, please email us, and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process~

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.
-
Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
