Hannah
Hannah
Hannah is one of our long staying seniors. In 2023, Hannah was bitten by a snake, but thanks to our generous donors she is back to her normal happy self again, albeit with a cool girl scar running down her face! (See the last photo.) Hannah has shiba-like tendencies, such as high prey drive towards smaller animals, but she is absolutely lovely towards humans. She loves her cuddles and is extremely motivated by treats. She’s gained some weight since her younger years with us, but we love a chonky shiba. She’s older now, so she isn’t as hyper as the young puppies we have at our shelter, but she still enjoys her leisure and peaceful walks with our volunteers.
Here’s what some of our volunteers have to say about Hannah:
“Hannah is a super sweet and people-loving dog. She enjoys getting treats and spending time in the river. Since she is so treat-driven, I think she will be easy to train. Hannah has a super relaxed personality and loves standing in the river and enjoying the breeze. Hannah didn't venture far from the person walking her and often looked back to check up on them. She was really patient and would make a great walking/hiking dog for someone who prefers slower-paced exercises. We walked with her kennel mate for a while but Hannah didn't pay much attention to him. I think she prefers humans over dogs. I really hope she finds a home soon. She has been at the shelter for quite a while. She is suuuuuuuper sweet and would really really make a great companion!”
"Meet Hannah! This was my second time walking her! Hannah has also been at the shelter for a long time. She is an older dog and enjoys slower walks. Hannah loves treats and she sits well! She also loves laying in the river and spending time with her kennelmate, Hodu! It was really fun walking Hodu and Hannah together because they had they same aura and personality! Please show Hannah some love! She is super laid back and would make a great family dog!"
"This is Hannah! A super sweet and people-loving dog. Hannah has a super relaxed personality. She was quite excited when she came out for a walk, she was sniffing all around everywhere but after some time she followed us well. She didn't venture far from the person walking her and often looked back to check up on them. She was also really patient and liked being petted."
"This girl is a lover! She was so gentle on her entire walk, flexing her many tricks. She knows how to sit, give her paw, AND heel! I'm not exactly sure if these tricks were coincidental but they were definitely consistent! She has so many unique features in her looks and personality. She's slow to opening up to other dogs but really quick to loving her hooman. Look at her beautiful face!"

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
