Hodu
Hodu
Hodu is a medium-sized handsome fellow who came to the shelter in 2018. Hodu has spent the majority of his life here with us and a forever family for him is way overdue. His name actually means ‘walnut’ in Korean! Hodu is a volunteer favorite because of his beautiful coat, racoon-like face, and bashful demeanor. It takes shy Hodu some time to open up to a new human, but once he trusts you, he loves the pets and cuddles. He needs a forever home where he can take his time breaking out of his walnut shell!
Here’s what some of our volunteers had to say about Hodu:
“Hodu is a handsome stud, and he is just that “perfect” size - not too small and not too big, doesn’t pull hard on the leash, and just has a lovely distinctive pattern to his coat and snout. He is a bit nervous and jumpy with sudden movements and close face to face contact, but doesn't mind being touched with an outstretched arm, and seems to be very comfortable with people after he gets to meet them a few times. Treats are great for winning him over! He is such a cutie, and I hope he can find a great new home where he can relax and fall in love with his human!”
"Meet Hodu! He's a precious small to medium sized doggy with fur that perfectly matches the current autumn season, matching his name (which happens to means wallnut!) Hodu was on his best behavior during our walk. He did fantastic on his walk, and was super excited to be around other people!"
If you would like to adopt Hodu and help crack open his shy boy shell, send us a message and we’ll send you more information about the adoption process!

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
