Estimated to have been born in 2019, Kiddy is a 17kg lightly tanned male jindo mixed breed who came to our shelter in May 2021. He was found walking along the busy streets all by himself with no owner in sight so he was called in, picked up and brought to our shelter. Kiddy was also noted in his intake form that he was a handsome boy and they definitely were not wrong! Kiddy’s coat color is so pretty, especially in the sun! It’s hard to imagine that this beautiful doggo was living on the streets all by himself.
We don’t know much about Kiddy’s past, but it breaks our hearts thinking about what may have happened to this gentle fella to make him cower into the corner of his kennel whenever people come near. Kiddy is still in the process of learning that humans are nothing to be afraid of, and while he has not yet built up the courage to come on a proper walk, last week he was very patient and gentle with us (albeit while hiding in a corner) as we put on his collar and leash and brought him out of his kennel for some fresh air and sunshine in the nearby play yard! While shy and timid, Kiddy doesn’t show signs of aggression towards staff or volunteers and he has even started to let us come a bit closer to pet his soft lovely coat!
Kiddy has only just begun to come out of his shell, and he would benefit so much from having more regular interactions with people to help him finally get that tail out from between his legs and into some happy wags! If you would like to hold Kiddy’s furry paw, please send us an email and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process~
