Nike
Everypawdy, meet Nike!
Nike is estimated to be born in 2017. He is a 23kg+ male mixed breed who has been at our shelter since 2019. Nike’s Korean name is 블리 and he is a male brindle pit mix. Nike is a giant ball of energy and definitely has the “Just do it!” attitude! He loves to be outside and is so happy when our volunteers take him out and run with him. After that initial energy is burned off a bit, Nike becomes an absolute sweetheart! He also seems to know that his energy is quite crazy and will often look back to make sure our volunteers walking him are okay. We can definitely see him become such an awesome outdoor adventure buddy. Nike is looking for a furever home where he can run and be as goofy as he wants!
If you are interested in Nike, just email us, and we’ll get you started on bringing a lovable buddy home!
“Nike is a gentle giant and I loved being with him, although I was definitely exhausted by the end of our walk. While he isn’t necessarily energetic, he is naturally strong and pulls when he walks, and he will need someone who can match his strength. I could see him really enjoying having a dog park or yard where he could regularly play and run freely with his owners or with other doggy companions. He is very sweet and would always stop for a rest and cuddle when we needed walking breaks. Nike is a glorious mutt who deserves his forever home!”
“I think dogs like Nike (yes, just like the shoe!) are easily misunderstood. It’s true that Nike is big and strong, but he is also gentle and seems to enjoy human contact. And Nike’s brindle-patterned fur might give some pause, but there is no reason that it should. We are always telling each other to see a person’s character, not the color of that person’s skin. The same holds true for dogs and their fur. Nike has been cooped up for a long time due to covid. Once he got his initial burst of energy out, he was gentle and ready to be loved! Nike is not the kind of dog that most Korean families want to adopt. He is too big, and for some, he has the wrong “look.” But Nike is a Good Boy! You can see it in the video. He will make an amazing companion if someone would give him the chance.”

Bahavior with cat or children
Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.
-
Cost of the adoption
YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

Vaccinations and spaying
All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
