Rex, like his roommate Kobe, is a 15 kg male jindo mix. The two of them arrived at the shelter last year. Rex and Kobe are best buds and enjoy letting out their energy together on walkies! Rex has a curly tail and doofy right ear that just can’t seem to unflop, making him always look like a big puppy. Young Rex lives up to his name as a strong boi who longs to roam the land with his powerful legs and big chompy smile! After Rex gets his initial energy out, he shows his true colors as a sweet cuddly boy who likes to just chill outside with his humans and doggy friends!
Here’s what one of our volunteers had to say after their walk with Rex:
“This is Rex. I was surprised at how strong this boy is - I had to use 2 leashes just for extra control! He needs leash training to control the excessive pulling. Rex mostly enjoyed the walk with his kennelmate Kobe. He didn't give me much attention and was mostly focused on pulling forwards. He loves being close to Kobe and didn't really pay much attention to other dogs.
Rex is definitely a high energy dog that needs regular long walks and lots of stimulation because even on this day, when it was super hot outside, he was pulling me from start to finish!“
Being cooped up in a shelter kennel is clearly is not Rex’s ideal setting, and we long to see the relaxed happy self he can become when he doesn’t need to let all of his energy out at once on a single walk once every month or two, which is all he can get with shelter life. If you’d like to give this goofy energetic boy a chance to learn what it's like to feel spoiled and loved, send us an adoption application and we will get you started on the adoption process!

Our dogs are rescued from meat farms or reported from the street and brought to our shelter. That's why we do not have information on how they behave with cats or children.

  • Cost of the adoption

YAPA does not gain any profit from the dogs' adoption. Adopters need to cover the transportation and documentation fee for the government.

  • Vaccinations and spaying

All our dogs are spayed and vaccinated by an approved vet before being sent to the adoptor. The costs of the procedures are covered by our donations.
