Rusty is a male jindo mix who came to our shelter with his sister, Roxy, when they were just three months old in August of 2020. He is a handsome foxlike dog with a cute black tip on his tail! Rusty and Roxy have been growing up here at the shelter and patiently waiting for the day someone falls in love with them to take them home forever. Rusty absolutely loves going on his walkies and exploring, especially when there is water involved! He is a medium energy doggo who gains confidence from walking together with his doggy friends. After a short time he warms up to his human volunteer and welcomes all of the cuddles and pets! This boy even loves to be brushed! Rusty is a great mix of energy and calmness and would do soooo great if someone can spend some time training him and showing him how to trust and be confident!
Here's what one of our volunteers had to say about Rusty:
"Rusty is a 2 year old mixed boy that is probably medium energy level. He was a bit nervous to go on the walk by himself, but when he was with his kennel-mate Ginger, he felt a little bit more comfortable. He also had fun being in the water, as it was a hot day, and that's where we spent most of our time. He got a nice brush after the walk, and you can see that he thoroughly enjoyed that. He also warmed up over time. With some socialization, I could totally imagine Rusty being a great friend and companion."
Rusty is looking for a family he can call his forever home. We hope that this year he will finally get to experience the joy of life outside of a shelter kennel! If you want to adopt this sweet boy to make his dreams come true, please send us an adoption application and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process.
