Winks is a 12kg male jindo mixed breed who arrived at our shelter the day after Christmas in 2020. He was found wandering the streets by himself on Christmas being friendly and nice to everyone he met. Winks came to the shelter with a slight injury above his left eye, hence his name! It has since been healing and his personality is really starting to shine everytime we take him out for his walks. Winks is such a happy-go-lucky boy with the cutest pink nose. He is a bit of a leash-puller because he is just so excited about going outside and being able to explore his surroundings, but that’s nothing a bit of training can fix. Winks also has the softest fur! He is like a little fuzzy pillow waiting to be loved.
Here’s what one of our volunteers had to say about Winks:
“Winks is a very charming boy who commands positive vibes.
He was super excited to get out on his walk but only pulled the first 5 minutes – once he calmed down, he was lovely to walk with. Winks sniffed and explored all over. He had no issues with passing dogs but was a bit wary of other strangers (he would stop and look at them for a while before passing).
Winks is very intelligent and took cues from us very well (walking, stopping, directions etc.) He loved human attention and allowed us to pat and hug him as much as we wanted! He’s a very good-looking boy with the softest fur. Winks is very loving and considerate; every so often he would turn around, check on us and walk back to us if he felt he was too far in front.”
Winks is looking for his furever home where he can really thrive and be his doggy self. If you would like to adopt Winks, please send us an adoption application and we’ll help you get started on the adoption process.
